Rosethorne City’s most notorious, terrifying reaper has brought me back from the dead. I want to hate him… but I think I’m falling for him instead.

My name is Harper Jones, and three months ago, I died. Apollo Grim, the reaper who came to claim me, heard my pleas and agreed to return me to the land of the living, in exchange for two things: a lifetime of servitude and my memories.

Dead Harper was an idiot for taking that deal. Now, alive and well, I am struggling to build a new life for myself while working as Apollo’s assistant. It’s not terrible… except I think I’m falling for my 600-year-old boss.

Now, a dark, soul-devouring creature has arrived in Rosethorne City. Getting rid of it involves more than pushing papers and setting appointments, and we’ll have to break a law or two. I’ll gladly become my boss’s accomplice, but will he let me in? Is there more to him than the ruthlessly cold exterior he insists on hiding behind?
